Obituary for Allison Coxsey
Allison Coxsey of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the age of 73. She was born on Monday, September 25, 1950 in Bakersfield, California to Freddie Leon Chambers, Sr. and Pauline Estelle (Stanford) James.
She was a longtime resident of Durant, Oklahoma. She married Ralph Coxsey on January 16, 1970 in Idabel, Oklahoma, and they were together for over 50 loving years until his passing.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed putting a smile on people’s faces and was always there to lend a helping hand. She was a poet and loved her faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Coxsey who had passed in 2020.
Survivors include her children Seth Coxsey and fiancé Shakera Lewis of Durant, Oklahoma, Terri (Coxsey) Jackson of Cleveland, Texas; grandchildren Miles Chambers Coxsey, Roscoe Chambers Coxsey, Isabelle Elisabeth Coxsey, Jamison Lee Coxsey, Kylee Dawn Jackson and husband Zach; great grandchildren Hunter Mack-Lee Bailey, Joslynn Marrie Wenthold as well as many other extended family and friends.
A family visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00PM on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Gordon Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.
Cremation services have been selected.
