Obituary for Arley Dwight Ramey
Arley Dwight Ramey, of Cartwright, Oklahoma passed with his daughters by his side on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the age of 77. He was born on Wednesday, August 22, 1945 in Colbert, Oklahoma to Jake Arley and Ola Mae (Moffitt) Ramey.
He was a longtime resident for Colbert, Oklahoma. In 1945, he married Angela Sue (Poteet) Ramey in Denison, Texas on July 25, 1964. They were married for 49 years.
He loved to fish and enjoyed playing golf, watching his kids and grandchildren play ball and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2014 Angela Sue (Poteet) Ramey; parents Jake Arley and Ola Mae (Moffitt) Ramey; brothers Kenneth Ramey and Gene Ramey.
Survivors include his daughters Carrie Ramey of Cartwright, Oklahoma, Lori Knight and husband Brad of Bokchito, Oklahoma; granddaughters Ginavee Freeman and husband Bronson of Idabel, Oklahoma, Allayna Knight of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Audrey Knight of Bokchito, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren Kylley Freeman of Idabel, Oklahoma, Axton Freeman of Idabel, Oklahoma and sister Joyce Clark and husband Arlen of Durant, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Gordon Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Roger Speers officiating.
