Obituary for Chris McCormack

Christopher Jack McCormack, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away on January 18, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on November 3, 1946 in Modesto, CA to loving parents who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion. Chris was a devoted son and brother.

Chris led an extraordinary life filled with love for family and friends. After serving honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam War era he pursued a successful career as a banker before becoming an entrepreneur. His passion for business was only matched by his love for boating and fishing - hobbies that brought him immense joy throughout his life.

A man of great character and integrity known for his warm smile and generous spirit; Chris had an infectious laugh that could light up any room. He found solace at the card table where he enjoyed countless hours playing games with friends old or new.

The loss of such an incredible soul has left an unfillable void in the hearts of all who knew him but we take comfort knowing that he will live on through our memories forevermore.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Ferd and Anna Lavern (Gist) McCormack.

Chris is survived by his brother Lloyd McCormack; his loving children Christi McCormack-Pugh and husband Rusty, Lori Williams and husband David, Greg McCormack and wife Robin; his cherished grandsons Brandon Pugh, Zach Pugh, Christopher Pugh; as well as his loyal companion Max.

In addition to being a dedicated family man who always put others first; Chris also had a heart of gold when it came to helping those less fortunate than himself. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html
