Obituary for Chrystal Thornton
Chrystal Thornton, of Durant, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the age of 48. She was born on Saturday, April 10, 1971 in Durant, Oklahoma to Darrell Thornton and Patricia Eveleene (Shelton) Hernandez.
Chrystal was a longtime resident of Durant. She enjoyed music, movies, dancing, unicorns and butterflies. Her favorite color was hot pink and black. She was very kindhearted and giving. Her loving nature was evident to all who knew her. She loved helping others. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Hernandez; brother Charles Thornton; step-mother Verda Thornton and 2 step-brothers Danny and Donnie Robinson.
Survivors include her daughters Cassaundra Meade of Caddo, Oklahoma, Ashley Wood and husband Thomas of Patchogue, New York, Zaylee Meade of Durant, Oklahoma; grandson Zadyn Meade-Davis of Caddo, Oklahoma; father Darrell Thornton of Durant, Oklahoma; sister Bonnie Durant and husband Isias of Durant, Oklahoma; nephew Mathayus Durant of Durant, Oklahoma, Joshua Thornton of Ringling, Oklahoma and niece Shelby Northcott of Sherman, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Grace Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating.
