Obituary for Clarence Lawrence

Clarence “Corkey” Lawrence, of Durant, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 21, 2020 at the age of 90. He was born on Tuesday, April 1, 1930 in Riverside, California.

He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force and was honored to serve as Military Police and Firefighter during his years of service. Follwing his military career he became a Forestry Firefighter. He and his wife enjoyed going to the Choctaw Snap Center, watching wrestling, walking, listening to music and spending time with their friends. His favorite singers were Johnny Cash, Elvis and Loretta Lynn.

He was married to Wynona Lawrence for 53 years before her passing in 2017.

He was preceded in death by his wife Wynona Lawrence; sons Kenneth, Bobby and an infant great-grandson.
Survivors include his daughter Betty Norton and husband Scott Hale; grandchildren Lisa Norton and husband Nolan Hobbs III, Retha Hale, Bobby Norton, Quida Norton and Alex Norton; great-grandchildren Christopher Behrens, David Behrens, Joshua Behrens and Emily Behrens.

Cremation services were selected.
