Cleoan Marie Collins, of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the age of 100. She was born on Monday, October 10, 1921 in Louisville, Kentucky to Leo and Lucille Marie (Jameson) Wolford.
She married Wayne “Tex” Collins on June 1, 1948 in Coronado, California.
She was a longtime resident of Irving, Texas. She enjoyed swimming, dancing, traveling, and spending time with family. She was of the Catholic Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Lucille (Jameson) Wolford; husband Wayne “Tex” Collins, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include her son Kenneth Wayne Collins and wife Sylvia of Graham, Texas; daughters Colleen Cripe and husband Samuel of Fort Worth, Texas, Sharon Marie Sullivan and husband Arthur of Durant, Oklahoma, Diane Michele Vowell of Justin, Texas; brother Charles Wolford of Los Angeles, California;12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A Rosary will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the St. Williams Catholic Church in Durant, Oklahoma. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:30PM with Father Carl Kerkemeyer officiating. She will be laid to rest in Irving, Texas at a later date.
