Obituary for Curtis Hicks
Curtis Hicks, of Caddo, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the age of 76. He was born on Friday, June 23, 1944 in Caddo, Oklahoma to Clarence H. and Mary Jane (Jacob) Hicks.
He was a longtime resident of Caddo, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed his horse and buggy and going to the ranch house. Most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence H. and Mary Jane (Jacob) Hicks, brothers C.H. Hicks, James Hicks, Keith Hicks; sister Maxie Rogers and granddaughter Anna Grace Hicks.
Survivors include his wife Patsy Hicks of the home; sons Johnny Hicks of Caney, Oklahoma, Joe Hicks of Caney, Oklahoma, James Hicks and wife Jennifer of Bennington, Oklahoma, Dalton James Hicks of Durant, Oklahoma, Austin Matthew Hicks of Caddo, Oklahoma; daughter Judy Stan and husband Jamie of London, Canada; sisters Mary Nell Tucker of Durant, Oklahoma, Mara Nell Sheffield of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers Geary Hicks of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Travis Hicks and wife Mary of Durant, Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Gordon Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Caddo, Oklahoma with Bro. Clifford Joines officiating. Adrian Hicks, Colby Hicks, Aaron Hicks, Cory Hicks, Austin Hicks and Colton Hicks will serve as pallbearers. Avery, Jesse, Peter, Dalton, Cody and Mark will serve as honorary pallbearers. A graveside service will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma.
