Obituary for David Chapman
David “Papa Bear” Chapman, of Durant, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the age of 60. He was born on Saturday, August 20, 1960 in Oakland, California to Alan Ray Timm and Charlene Rae Towne.
He married Juanita Ann Martinez on August 16, 1986 in Hayward, California.
He came to Oklahoma on May 15, 2002 from California. He enjoyed fishing, sports, camping, boating, hunting and Bar-b-Qing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alan Ray Timm and Charlene Rae Towne, brothers Steven Gregory Chapman, Gregory Alan Timm and nephew James Anderson.
He is survived by his wife Juanita Chapman of Durant, Oklahoma; sons Steven Chapman of Durant, Oklahoma, Chad Chapman of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughter Abigail Grace Chapman of Durant, Oklahoma; grandsons Cortlyn Abel Chapman of Durant, Oklahoma, Conner Ray Chapman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister Vickie Perez and husband Frank of Sacramento, California; step-father Leon Chapman and wife Cindy of Grands Pass, Oregon; nephew John Chaloux of Mead, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, and nephews and extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM. on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the Monterey Chapel, 224 S. 9th St., Durant, Oklahoma 74701.
