David Wayne Johnson, of Coalgate, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Blue, Oklahoma at the age of 56. He was born on Friday, February 1, 1963 in Fresno, California to Elzie and Claudia (Cole) Johnson.

David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with is family. He was of the Baptist Faith and was baptized in 2009.

He married Marsha (Shelley) Johnson on March 16, 2004 in Coalgate, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elzie and Claudia (Cole) Johnson; brother Frank Johnson and sister Kathy Giant.

Survivors include his wife Shelley Johnson of Coalgate, Oklahoma; sons David Johnson, Jr. of Madill, Oklahoma, Mitch Johnson of Madill, Oklahoma; daughters Rachel Johnson of Yuma, Arizona, Shawnna Johnson of Ravia, Oklahoma; step-son Stephen Knight of Castle Rock, Colorado; step-daughter Sarah Walton of Grand Junction, Colorado; brothers Gary Johnson of Colorado, John Johnson; sisters Carolyn Loftis of Blue, Oklahoma, Else Johnson of Durant, Oklahoma, Sharron Fox of Durant, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, many nieces, newphews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020, 2:00pm at the OSU Extension office, 1901 S. 9th Ave., Durant, Oklahoma.
