Debra Stewart of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the age of 69. She was born on Saturday, November 7, 1953 in Bakersfield, California to Earl Lee and Willis Louise (Bivins) Welch.
She married her husband Alex Joseph Stewart on March 5, 1994 in Bakersfield, California, where she was originally from. Before coming to Durant, Oklahoma, she also resided in the state of South Carolina.
She loved to read, crochet, and make arts and crafts. She was a wonderful mother that loved her children and her grandchildren. She also loved her Choctaw heritage.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earl Lee and Willis Louise (Bivins) Welch; sisters Betty, Darlene, Alice, Vicky; brothers Ervin, Hubert and Herbert.
Survivors include her husband Alex Joseph Stewart of the home; children Tracy McNatt of Bakersfield, California, Curtis Shatswell of Bakersfield, California, Rachel Bristow of Paso Robles, California, Timothy Benskin of Elgin, South Carolina, Kimberly Romano of Amelia, Ohio; grandchildren Madison Shatswell of Durant, Oklahoma, Tyler Ellen of Bakersfield, California, Molly Shatswell of Bakersfield, California, Trey Bristow of Paso Robles, California, Kara Bristow of Paso Robles, California, Ben Bristow of Paso Robles, California, Jace Benskin of Elgin, South Carolina, Seth Benskin of Elgin, South Carolina, Amberlee Romano of Amelia, Ohio, Trinity Romano of Amelia, Ohio; great grandchildren Grayson Ellen and Bronson Ellen of Bakersfield, California, who she loved dearly, as well as other extended family and friends.
