Dorothy Stair, of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born on Monday, October 5, 1936 in Durant, Oklahoma to David Walls Colbert and Louise (Taylor) Colbert.
She was a proud native to the Chickasaw and Choctaw tribes and loved Native American History and Culture. She also loved cats and enjoyed OU softball and football. She was especially a fan of Shake ‘n’ Bake Mayfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steven Stair and her parents David Walls Colbert and Louise (Taylor) Colbert.
Survivors include her sons James Patrick Stewart and wife Lyndoll of Mannford, Oklahoma, Chris Stewart and wife Terri of Durant, Oklahoma; daughter Carrie Stewart and Lenny of Durant, Oklahoma; special daughter Linda McKinney or Ardmore, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren as well as other extended family and friends.
Cremation services have been selected.
