Dottie Caldwell of Durant, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the age of 80. She was born on Tuesday, August 29, 1939 in Wise County, Virginia to Opal (Adkins) Tunnell.

She was raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. She came to Durant, Oklahoma from Ft. Worth, Texas in 2009. She had lived in El Paso, Texas for 20 years prior. She had a passion for CPR and was very committed to teaching others this life saving technique.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Durant and was active in her Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by a daughter Terri Weir and husband Skip of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother Rick Tunnell of Detroit, Michigan; sisters Kitty Seymour of San Diego, California, Carolyn Weeks of San Antonio, Texas; Deb Lijewski of Detroit, Michigan; granddaughters Carissa Winstead and husband Jacob of Durant, Oklahoma; Taylor Weir of Jersey City, New Jersey as well as 4 great grandchildren.

There will be an informal Memorial Reception at the First Baptist Church in Druant at 2:00PM, Sunday, March 15 in the Student Worship Center.
