Obituary for Emma Hull
Emma Hull, of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the age of 96. She was born on Sunday, August 16, 1925 in Durant, Oklahoma to Clarence and Bertha Lillie (Powell) Green.
She married Hugh Matthew Hull on May 16, 1959 in Durant, Oklahoma. She was a lifelong resident of Durant and a longtime member of the First Church of The Nazarene. She loved her church and served The Kingdom in many positions.
She enjoyed arranging flowers and her hobbies were painting and scrapbooking. She was very artsy and creative. She worked at The Montgomery Ward and the Durant Bank & Trust. Eventually, she became a mother and a homemaker. She loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Hull; parents Clarence and Bertha Lillie (Powell) Green; granddaughter Bethany Lauren Hull; sisters Mary Lewsaw, Velma Hemperley and Betty Harris.
Survivors include her son Mike Hull and wife Aundrea of Durant, Oklahoma; grandson Logan Hull and wife Annalie of Waxahachie, Texas; great-granddaughters Quinn Avery Hull of Waxahachie, Texas, Micah Fay Hull of Waxahachie, Texas; brother Clarence “Bud” Green, Jr. of Durant, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A family visitation will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, May 13, 2022 at Gordon Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00PM at the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma with Pastor Brent Smith officiating.
