Eva Marie Backenstoes of Kingston, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the age of 35. She was born on Wednesday, July 22, 1987 in Putnam, Connecticut to William L. and Martha Viola (Oliphant) Mercier.
She came to Kingston, Oklahoma in October 2012, previously from Denham Springs, Louisiana.
She enjoyed building miniature houses. She also enjoyed nature, flowers and hiking.
She was preceded in death by her father William L. Mercier.
Survivors include her son Andrew Backenstoes of Kingston, Oklahoma; daughters Emily Backenstoes of Kingston, Oklahoma, Taylor Backenstoes of Kingston, Oklahoma; mother Martha Oliphant; siblings Eric Mercier of Mannsville, Oklahoma, Yolanda Mercier-Hughs of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Jude Mercier of Walker, Louisiana, Michel Mercier of Mannsville, Oklahoma as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Lake Church in Kingston, Oklahoma.
