Obituary for Gloria Sue Dooley
Gloria Sue Dooley, age 78, of Durant, Oklahoma passed away at Alliance Health Hospital, Durant, OK on Monday, December 04, 2023. She was born on April 18, 1945 in Modesto, California to Franklin Luther and Eva Ellen (Mapes) Burton.
She was a High School graduate and a homemaker, caring for her wonderful family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, needlepoint, cooking, going to the casino, taking care of her dogs and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents Franklin Luther and Eva Ellen (Mapes) Burton; her husband Archie Dooley in 2010 and daughter Rebecca Baker on October 1, 2007.
Survivors include her sons Archie Dooley Jr. of Durant, Oklahoma, Frank Dooley & Toni of Durant, Oklahoma, Mark Dooley & April of Durant, Oklahoma; sisters Sandra Spencer of Durant, Oklahoma, Peggy Burton of Rippon, California; brother Willie Burton of Naples, Florida; sister-in-law Jenny of Modesto, California; grandchildren Billy Baker, Wendy Durett, Heather Puterpaugh, Chris Baker, Phillip Bailey, Stephanie Bailey, Marcus Dooley, Jessica Dooley, Cindy Baker; great grandchildren Larissa, RJ, Veronica, Shelby, Billy Jr., Emily, Sophie, Hayden, Haley, Hannah, Kassandra, Felicia, Phillip Jr., Allie, Molly, Emery, Jimmy, Dodge; great-great grandchild Enola as well as other extended family and many friends.
Cremation services have been selected. The family is planning a memorial service with the date to be announced.
