Obituary for Harold Aplin

Harold D. Aplin, of Calera, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the age of 61. He was born on Monday, May 29, 1961 in Durant, Oklahoma to Frankie Melburn and Mildred June (White) Aplin.

He married Michele Rene (Shans) Aplin on October 16, 1998 in Denison, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Calera, Oklahoma and co-owned Kidzone home daycare with his wife. He was also a member of the Choctaw Nation.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frankie Melburn and Mildred June (White) Aplin; brother Roger Aplin and sister Marianne Brown.

Survivors include his wife Michele Aplin of the home; daughter Megan Stacy and Matthew of Lexington, Oklahoma; grandson Koulson Stacy of Lexington, Oklahoma; special nephews Zath and Lincoln Aplin; brother Curtis Brown and wife Kathy of Kansas City, Missouri; sister Sherry Damp’f of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers Phillip Aplin and wife Berniece of Durant, Oklahoma, Robert Aplin and wife Cleta of Denton, Texas, Frank Douglas Aplin of Calera, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Tonya Donahue of Denison, Texas; mother-in-law Judy Watson of Durant, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00PM on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Gordon Funeral Home.
