Ima Jean Taylor, of Caney, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the age of 89. She was born on Wednesday, April 9, 1931 in Waukomis, Oklahoma to Cecil Oro and Ora Elisa (Livingston) Miller.
She married James Taylor on May 20, 1950 in Quanah, Texas.
James and Ima Jean lived and raised their family in the Caney and Caddo area. She enjoyed reading and was good at sewing. She loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents Cecil Oro and Ora Elisa (Livingston) Miller and a brother J.T. Miller.
Survivors include husband James Taylor of the home; sons Dennis Taylor and wife Janet of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Randy Taylor and wife Mary Jo of Durant, Oklahoma, Mark Taylor and wife Pam of Wilburton, Oklahoma; daughter Cherryl McGuire and husband Jim of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister Eudene Steen of Glenburn, North Dakota; brothers Carl Miller of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Jackie Miller of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as well as other nieces, nephews and extended family.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 3rd 2021 at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Caney, Oklahoma with Rev. Dennis Taylor and Rev. Claudie Alford officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma. David Taylor, Michael Taylor, Jeremy Taylor, Aaron Taylor, Travis Garrett, Collin Anderson and Joel McGuire will serve as pallbearers.
