Obituary for James Dale Ervin
James Dale Ervin of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the age of 64. He was born on Saturday, November 8, 1958 in Seagraves, Texas to Jesse Eugene and Ruby Christine (Burnett) Ervin.
He grew up in a very small town called Farris, Oklahoma and came to Durant in the early 1980’s. He was a very hard worker. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He also enjoyed going to the casino, visiting the coast, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jesse Eugene and Ruby Christine (Burnett) Ervin.
Survivors include his wife Sabrina Dawn Ervin of the home; daughters Megan Ervin of Duran, Oklahoma, Emily Ervin of Durant, Oklahoma; sons Jesse Ervin of Durant, Oklahoma, Andy Ervin of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren Chanse Farris, Karsyn Farris, Mason Gray, Ottis Gray, Kassianna Ervin, Oaklyn Ervin all of Durant, Oklahoma; brother Reuben Ervin of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; sisters Debra Danderson of Calera, Oklahoma, Susan Lee of Jefferson, Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Cremation services have been selected.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations.
