Obituary for Joel James

Joel James, of Caddo, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the age of 41. He was born on Friday, November 30, 1979 in Denison, Texas to Joseph Allen James and Linda Carol (Lowe) James.

He liked to keep things simple and he was more than meets the eye. He was a father to two boys. He loved them more than he could express. He was a brother that he did with great honor. He was a son that loved his family wholeheartedly. He was a grandson that knew what it meant to know where he came from and was proud to be who he was. He was a grandpa to two beautiful boys that he was so proud to call his. They could always bring a tear to his eyes. He was a friend to many and a loyal one at that. He always treated people like he wanted to be treated. He could always bring the happiest of vibes to any room. He was a free spirit that loved the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved to hunt and fish. To be honest, Joel was just Joel, plain and simple. He was truly one of a kind.

He leaves behind his parents Linda James of Caddo, Oklahoma, Joe James and Shelly Knight of Boswell, Oklahoma; the mother of his children Carrie Hartman of Caddo, Oklahoma; sons Tristen James and Daelyn Marshall of Caddo, Oklahoma, Garrett James and Allison Sheffield of Mead, Oklahoma; grandsons Kyler James of Caddo, Oklahoma, Gunner James of Mead, Oklahoma; sister Lisa James of Durant, Oklahoma; brother Brett James and wife Molly of Durant, Oklahoma; nephews Tripp James, Cody Wilson, Seth Wilson all of Durant, Oklahoma and his dog Sissy as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
