Johnny Lee Mooney, of Calera, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the age of 74. He was born on Tuesday, January 6, 1948 to William Forrest and Jennie Ellen (Blankenship) Mooney.

He married Peggy Alice (Daniels) Mooney on July 1, 1967 in Dallas, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Collett and the USS Isabel during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed hunting, sports and watching his grandchildren play ball.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Forrest and Jennie Ellen (Blankenship) Mooney; brother Bill Mooney and sister Naomi Fox.

Survivors include his wife Peggy Alice (Daniels) Mooney of Calera, Oklahoma; daughter Teresa Jo Pustejovsky and Thomas Wayne of Midlothian, Texas; grandsons Hunter Lee and Colby Thomas Pustejovsky; brothers Danny Mooney of Grove, Oklahoma; Marvin Mooney of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Carlis Mooney of Amarillo, Texas; sisters Linda Tiller of Sevierville, Tennessee, Virginia Cannon of Lindsay, Oklahoma; mother-in-law Dorothy Daniels of Calera, Oklahoma.

A cremation service has been selected.
