Kenneth C. Townsend “Maverick” of Van Alstyne, Texas passed from this life on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the age of 68. He was born on Friday, July 1, 1955 in Selina, Kansas to Jerry O. and Nell L.. Townsend.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army from August 27, 1973 to August 14, 1979. He married Diane G. Townsend on June 15, 2018 at the CBC. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He loved riding his Harley.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry O. and Nell L.. Townsend.
Survivors include his wife Diane G. Townsend of the home; children Kenneth Allred and wife Angelia of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Douglas Townsend and wife Tracey of Cattails, Georgia; 5 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Cremation services have been selected and he was later laid to rest at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
