Obituary for Lillian "Jane" Whitten

Lillian “Jane” Whitten, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the age of 83. She was born on Saturday, April 29, 1939 in Lubbock, Texas to Charles and Kennie Mae (Coffman) McWilliams.

She was a longtime resident of Kingston, Oklahoma and married Carl Wayne Whitten on October 25, 1986. She attended the First Baptist Church of Kingston, Oklahoma. After she retired as a DHS social worker, she worked in the church nursery for many years.

She loved her animals and enjoyed spending time with her family, going on picnics and helping raise all of her grandbabies. She touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Kennie Mae (Coffman) McWilliams; children John Williamson, Kathy Williamson, Sara Goodman, Kent Lee Goodman and Bobby Goodman.

Survivors include her husband Carl Whitten of the home; son David Goodman and wife Tamara of Cartwright, Oklahoma; grandsons Christopher Goodman of Coleman, Oklahoma, Brandon Goodman of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughters Crystal Nichols and husband Dustin Hamby of Calera, Oklahoma, Amber Goodman of Cartwright, Oklahoma; great grandchildren Violet Goodman of Coleman, Oklahoma, Kaylie Nichols, Jake Nichols, Claire Nichols, Eli Nichols, Emma Nichols of Calera, Oklahoma as well as numerous other extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Gordon Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. In memory of Jane, please wear bright clothing.
