Obituary for Margaret Holland
Margaret Holland, of Durant, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the age of 72. She was born on Sunday, January 23, 1949 in Atoka County, Oklahoma to Alfred and Lola Inez (Ballard) Tucker.
She was a longtime resident of Durant, Oklahoma. She enjoyed working for Civil Defense and was an avid storm spotter. She was a volunteer deputy for the sherriff’s office and was the first female to hold that position. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Lola Inez Tucker; son Troy Holland, Jr.; daughter Delena Ann Holland; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her husband Troy Holland of the home; grandson Jacob Holland of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughters Shaina Lee Robison and husnband Ben of Calera, Oklahoma, Savanna Bolton of Durant, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law Carla Holland of Durant, Oklahoma; great-grandsons Ranger Jaxx Robison, Carter Robison; great-granddaugter Renlee Robison; sister Wanda Lackey of Caney, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A family hour will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Gordon Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 5 2021 at the Monterey Chapel, 224 S. 9th, Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Bruce McLaughlin officiating.
