Mark A. Whittington of Weston, Texas, passed from this life on Monday, May 4, 2020 at the age of 63. He was born on Monday, June 4, 1956 in Los Angeles, California to James Walter and Shirley Marlene (Schooley) Whittington.

Mark came to Weston, Texas from San Diego, California in 2018. He enjoyed fishing, leatherworks and gardening. He was a member of the U.S. Army with the rank Spc 4. He was a believer in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He talked to Jesus daily and was so thankful for his salvation. He was a wonderful father, brother, grandpapa. He loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Walter and Shirley Marlene (Schooley) Whittington and a niece Stephanie Sarah Whittington.

Survivors include his sons Mark Allen Birmes of Katy, Texas, James Walter Whittington II, of Huntington Beach, California; daughters Jessica Maria Whittington of Bakersfield, California, Jacquelene Whittington of Huntington Beach, California; first wife Viki Janelle Birmes of Weston, Texas; second wife Nora Maria Whittington of Huntington Beach, California; sisters Corrine Mae Whittington-Askim of Santa Rosa, California, Shirley Marlene Whittington-Bradley of Cypress, California, Deanna Marie Whittington-Portlock of Mesa, Arizona; brothers Michel Walter Whittington of Escondidio, California, James Daniel Whittington of Grants Pass, Oregon; grandchildren Coby Allen Birmes, Shane Michael Birmes, Mia Jacqueline Whittington, Mohamed Eisa Addam and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Cremation services were selected and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Chambersville, Texas.
