Obituary for Paul J. Payne
Paul J. Payne of Blue, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at the age of 75. He was born on Monday, October 4, 1948 in Charleston, Arkansas to Henry Clay and Nellie Lucille (George) Payne.
He was a longtime resident of Blue, Oklahoma and married Kristy Kay (Savage) Payne on April 27, 1979 in Junction City, Kansas. They were together just shy of 45 loving years.
He enjoyed working with cattle, spending time with his family, and aggravating his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Clay and Nellie Lucille (George) Payne; sister Coleen Payne; brothers John Payne, Richard Payne, James Payne; and grandson Colton.
Survivors include wife Kristy Kay (Savage) Payne of the home; daughters Sherrie Karmann of Fort Worth, Texas, Jodi Canahaute and husband Eddie of Apopka, Florida, April Payne of the home, Michelle Amlin and husband John of Mead, Oklahoma; sons Paul Joseph Payne II of Durant, Oklahoma, Tony Vandenburg of Calera, Oklahoma; brothers Lawrence Payne of Enid, Oklahoma, Ralph Payne of Enid, Oklahoma as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
A family visitation will be held prior to the service at 11:00AM, with the memorial service beginning at 12:00PM on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Gordon Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma with John Teel officiating.
