Obituary for Ricky Selby

Rick Selby was born July 17, 1952 and passed from this life August 10, 2022 in Durant, OK. He was the son of June and James Selby, husband of Vicki Selby, and father of Missy Williams and Shelli Rhodes.

Rick lived his life for his family. He was a wonderful son, compassionate brother, devoted husband, loving father, and incredible grandpa and great-grandpa. Rick was truly one-of-a kind. He could fix anything and his family often joked that if they were stranded on an island and could bring one thing, they’d bring him because he would definitely get them off the island. He was selfless and would give someone the shirt off his back if they needed it. He enjoyed spending time with his family, motorcycle rides, camping, and tinkering with new projects, most recently his electric bicycles. He made an impact on the lives of so many people through his quiet acts of kindness. In a moment’s notice he would be on his way to help his daughters or grandkids, no matter what the problem was. He will be greatly missed by many, but is now happy in Heaven where there is no doubt he was greeted by God saying, “well done my good and faithful servant”.

Rick is survived by his wife Vicki Selby, daughter and son-in-law Missy and Stiemy Williams, daughter and son-in-law Shelli and Jerry Rhodes, mother June Selby, his sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Steve Martinez, his sister Cathy Healy, his sister Vickie Bohannan, granddaughter and husband Cheyenne and Justin Clark, great-granddaughters Jessi and Briar Clark, grandson Garrett Reynolds, granddaughter and great-grandson Kelssi and Lincoln Williams, granddaughter and husband Mikaela and Justin Gonzales, great-granddaughters and great-grandson June, May and Justin Gonzales, granddaughter and husband Kylie and Brayden Green, and great-granddaughter Pyper Green as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father James Selby and nephew Timmy White.
