Shana Lee Franklin, of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the age of 38. She was born on Friday, September 2, 1983 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Randall Fermin and Cindy Lee (Holman) McGinnis.

Shana married Aaron Mark Franklin on May 13, 2006.

Shana was a longtime resident of Durant, Oklahoma. She enjoyed reading, watching movies and playing with her boys. She was a member of the Knight Owls Book Club and a member of the First Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and a cousin Kylan Farris.

Survivors include her husband Aaron Franklin of Durant, Oklahoma; sons Alexander Franklin of Durant, Oklahoma, Sebastian Franklin of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers Jason McGinnis and wife Lisa of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Kyle Gallegos of Michigan, Aaron Gallegos of Bangkok, Thailand, Jeff French; sisters Lesli Arnold of Washington, Oklahoma, Laura McGinnis of Norman, Oklahoma, Skye Dakota; fathers Randy McGinnis and wife Debbie of Norman, Oklahoma, Richard Gallegos of Calera, Oklahoma; mother Cindy Dakota and husband Brian of Ada, Oklahoma; grandparents Nina and Will Tobaben, Nolan and Gail Holman; 2 nieces, 4 nephews and numerous other cousins and extended family.

A family visitation will be held will be held from 6:00-8:00PM, Friday, October 1, 2021 at the First Baptist Church Student Worship Center. Please enter in the north-east doors.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM, Saturday October 2, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Gary McNeill officiating. Colt Franklin, Cort Franklin, Coby Franklin, Jason McGinnis, Kyle Holman and Kyle Gallegos will be honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers and donations, a support fund has been set up at the First United Bank in Durant, Oklahoma.
