Obituary for Teddy Jones

Teddy Wayne Jones, of Durant, passed from this life on Monday, November 21st 2022 at the age of 68. Ted was born December 11, 1953 to Charles Franklin Jones and Lola Maxine (Honeysuckle) Jones.

After graduating high school in Colbert, OK Ted joined the Army. There he served his country as an Expert Marksman, 101st Airborne Division, Green Beret Special Forces, Vietnam Veteran. Ted excelled in all aspects of his duties and outclassed his peers in every division. He was, "The best of the best".

Though he had many honorable achievements, if you asked Ted; the highest ranks he ever held were Husband, Dad and Grandpa. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lawayne Susan (Fugett) Jones. Children, Cinderella, Enoch, Bret and Susette. Grand Children, Dustin, Justin, Brandon, Sophia, Fiona, Melissa and Aurora. Great Grand Children, Ava, Laila and Walker.

Ted imparted his love of hunting and fishing onto his children and grandchildren, making sure from a young age that each had a gun in one hand and a fishing pole in the other. He was a skilled welder, a master mechanic of anything with a motor- it didn't matter what it was Ted Jones could fix it, built it or repair it. He could skin a buck and run a trot line like every country boy wishes they could. He gardened and grew the hottest peppers known to man and made the best jerky you've ever had.

Ted liked to crack jokes but had a serious side as well. Those that know Ted, know this man didn't take shit off of nobody and if he didn't like you, you could take your shittin' ass on down the the road!

(Special note from Daughter, Cinderella)
Dad, we love you more than you'll ever know and thank you for everything you did for us. You gave us your all even when you had nothing left to give. You will always be in our hearts and dreams, we love you Dad.
